It should be OU! What is boild down to is this...every conference in the BCS should have a championship game. And the BCs should include the clause that a team needs to win their conference to be ELIGIBLE to play in the national championship game. So without either one in place..it should be OU vs LSU on January 4th. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
Well like someone else stated, one of the three teams would be very upset today and you can understand why. The way I look at it is the system that is used is the BCS, the human polls are only a part of how the #1 and #2 teams are picked. I could understand USC being upset but the system that everyone has to go by is the BCS at this point and they are #3 in the BCS standings.
Sourdoughman (Besides, this wouldn't have happened if u guys would have taken care of business) . Umm if I am not mistaken, you guy's may have lost a game this year also. Now this is not meant as a flame, But why the heck should it matter when you lose the game. Put it this way, I hasten to say that if LSU were 12-0 and lost the conf. game to georgia, the attitude would be the same as mine is.
Ok for all you folks saying the BCS is so flawed< consider this: 1. We wouldnt have jumped USC in the human polls 2. We did in the BCS because of SOS 3. Now how is it that it works for us but somehow should screw the sooners? 4. USC ain't played ANYBody! 5. WHo would have won in an OU and USC match up?? ok that's too easy, Sooners would kill them. Don't get me wrong I think OU is over rated too but not NEARLY as overrated as USC. Look at the schedule. 6. Did I mention Cal beating USC? I mean at least OU lost to a RANKED team! Please stop whining about the BCS and playing OU. If it wasn't for the BCS we MIGHT not be playing OU, USC would be. Bottom Line is this the best two teams in the country ARE playing in the Nokia sugar bowl. Yes OU got blown out by K state and it IS definately questionable about NON conference champions playing for the NC BUT until they tweak the system, there you have it. BE HAPPY WE DIDN'T GET LEFT BEHIND. I look at this like DESTINY! The TIGERS are in like they should be.
I guess I am an idiot, too because you don't deserve to go to the Sugar bowl. You got hacked to pieces last night. That alone should disqualify you. I appreciate the invite to your board, but I can't join in on the conversation over there unless you guys are willing to admit that you don't belong, that you are in anyway, so that I should just deal with it. The two best teams right now are USC and LSU. I don't care what the damn computers say. OU got dominated. Now we might have a split champion. Had we had an LSU-USC matchup, we wouldn't and you would be irrelevant. In an ideal world, OU would have declined the invite, but that is way too much to ask, isn't it? Later, dude.
Re: It should be OU! NO. You can't hold the fact that the Pac-10 doesn't have a CCG against USC. They won outright within their existing structure. I do believe, however, that each of the 6 BCS conferences should all either have a CCG or no CCG at all. That said, OU happens to be in a conference that has a CCG. They played by the rules and they lost. USC played by the rules and they won their conference. USC and LSU are the best teams as of today and are most deserving. OU "backed" in just like Neb. did two years ago. It's BS man. I want an outright championship if we are good enough to win our game. Instead, I need 2-loss UM to help me out. Bogus.

Because we didn't get our ASS handed to us in a championship game on national TV. Had we lost to UGA last night, it would have been sayonara and rightly so. Go ahead, justify how you guys should be there. Most of the country believes otherwise, but you don't care what the rest of the country thinks, right? So what's the point of arguing.
TigerFan90 read what JSracingBBF said. I do not need to repeat it. At least he has a reasonable perspective about it. And to you sir, I am not going to admit that we don't belong. It's USC that don't belong. Put it this way, If the Sooners beat your beloved tigers on the 4th of next month, Then maybe you then will admit that we do belong in the sugar bowl.
