We lost 3 guys on defense that is playing the NFL today. We lost our starting RB to injury before the season started.

You are right, it's not the same talent ...

    Yup!

Looks like the common denominator ... and this puts his future "head coach" prospects in the crapper ... unless he wants to become the next Magoo St head coach in Bugtussle, Alabammer

What ball sack was everyone swinging from last year?
Our superior athletes....... Yeah nobody else recruites athletes in the SEC.
Somehow LSU passed all teams in the SEC, heck Nation, in one frigging year.:nope:

Explain what happened to this all powerfull team that was kicking the ever living **** out of all teams that was brave enough to play us? Was this during
the Saban years that this happened? If so I sure missed it......:dis:

You can doom and gloom all you want. The nay-sayers have done it all season and all they have to show for it is a 10-1 record and a SECCG to play
in. I would agree we need to kick the O in the rear at times but to call out a
coach and say he only won because of the players is stupid. If you use that
to judge a coach then Saban really sucked.

Exactly, 3 guys. This year we will lose 11 or 12. See the difference?

I only see irrational fans that aren't thrilled with a 10-1 record.

Per dandy don... this is how I feel as well... :

The first thing I want to say about the game is that I am very happy that LSU won, but I was very disappointed in the play calling and the way that LSU played on offense. When I say disappointed in the offense, I am referring to at least three dropped passes by Dwayne Bowe, and the inability of the offensive line to open holes for LSU backs to run through. Justin Vincent ran the ball 20 times for only 68 yards and Joseph Addai ran the ball 10 times for 36 yards. For the third game in a row, Addai left the game in the first quarter with an injury. In my opinion, it is inexcusable to have the ball first and goal on the three yard line and not be able to run the ball three yards to score.

I was also disappointed that LSU's offensive line was not able to protect JaMarcus Russell on passing situations. Russell completed 13 of 29 passes for 194 yards and one touchdown and in all fairness to Russell his stats would have been much more impressive had four passes not been dropped. Skyler Green led all LSU receivers with three catches for 45 yards. Joseph Addai had two receptions for 46 yards. Buster Davis and Jacob Hester each caught two passes for 9 yards each. Bowe had one catch for 18 yards and Bennie Brazell caught one pass for 50 yards and touchdown. I was also disappointed in JaMarcus Russell's decision making at least three times. I was disappointed in "uncalled for" penalties that resulted in good field position for Arkansas.

On the defensive side of the ball, I thought LSU played very well. Arkansas' two most productive plays on offense came on trick pass plays that were great calls at the time in the game and the spot on the field. LSU's defense did a super job shutting down Arkansas' super freshman running back, Darren McFadden, who ran the ball 24 times and was held to 67 yards. I thought that Melvin Oliver played his best game of the year on defense and I thought that LaRon Landry and Jessie Daniels played very well too. In my opinion, the key plays in the game on defense were Francis Daniels running down Darren McFadden at the 13 yard line on a kick return that ended up with Arkansas missing a short field goal, and Melvin Oliver's sack late in the game that took Arkansas out of field goal range. The pressure applied by Melvin Oliver on quarterback Casey Dick that led to LaRon Landry's interception in the end zone at the end of the game was also a key play, as was Early Doucet's tackle in the end zone of Arkansas punter Jacob Skinner, but that play was set up by a bad snap from Arkansas' deep snapper.

I dont know if it's Jimbo or Miles' fault, but the playcalling is GARBAGE. It is so Vanilla and it reminds me of a highschool game. We need to make a change somewhere and I think it's Jimbo because the offense has been like this for the past 5 years. We have too much talent to be playing mediocre ball on the offensive side.

The beef is not with the record. Of course I am thrilled that we are 10-1. That is great. And it's not about good fan bad fan crap. If we were not good fans why the hell would we even care, or waste our time posting on a message board?

It is about the strategy. The playcalling, the gameday decisions, and the lack of killer instinct.

People who don't understand the game or only watch LSU football seem to find it easier to just be happy with 2 point victories over 4-6 teams, or running up the middle on 3rd and eight because it will keep us from throwing an interception or fumbling. Playing not to lose instead of knocking someone in the teeth.

We have won and that is good. We won the west and that is good. We have a chance at the Sugar bowl and that is good. It has just been hard to sit and watch some of these games this year, which has taken away some of the fun.
