    Just got back.

And from what everything I heard today, Travis Ford will be named LSU's men's basketball coach on Friday.

Funny. On Monday I was at a trade show in Lexington and the vendor in the booth across from mine had Richie Farmer signing autographs. The stache is intact.

LSU needs a young energetic coach who can fill all the roles. Like Dale Brown in the early years. The program has fallen and needs to be marketed to get fans to spend their money on basketball. While winning will bring in some fans, John Brady could not fill the place with his best teams. Tiger fans are being strained by the economy to use their expendable cash. Most of it goes to football. Most people can't afford season tickets to both. Most that can are no shows for basketball. Maybe a Travis Ford can bring enthusiasm back to the P-Mac.

Everyone who is talking bad about espn should probably wait til the end of the week before you bash them for this particular instance (not that you cant find 9999999999 other reasons to bash them)...of course everyone is gonna deny a deal is in place because its tactless to "desert" your team like that. Plus, UMASS has its most important game since Marcus Camby was there with slick calipari. Travis Ford is a good hire, UMASS does not have bball history. they were good for 3 years under calipari. Their NIT wins are the first postseason wins since 1996 (they werent even good enough to make the NIT before he got there FOR 10 YEARS). Hes on the verge of winning the NIT while reviving what, for all intensive purposes was a dead program before he got there. If we do hire him, we just have to hope that john pelphrey impresses the UK powers that be a little more than Ford or we will be right back in the same position of looking for a coach in 5 years.:tigereye:

Pat Forde is a credible source. He doesn't spew bullcrap.

Ford will be our next coach.

    Welcome.

Please get us back on track. And quick.

    * Forde doesnt spew crap about his beloved UK and Kentucky boys. He will unreasonably bash the hell out of their rivals.

With that being said it looks like he is right.
