He said DW was good and will be missed then you said "WHAT"? Now you think he's underrated and all I know is that I'm totally confused so you two fight it out. This I'll answer, their blocking scheme was taking our DE to the middle and out of the play, so, "Yes, he looked pretty explosive and quick" but our "Fast" defense wasn't getting an opportunity to get our hands on him until he was in the secondary, so probably a combination.
Now I'm confused I was merely responding to his statement that Walker wouldn't last long in the NFL. Even if makes the league minimum for a few years and is smart with his money he will still be set enough to go back to school if the pros don't work out. I don't see the logic in his post; he's good but not good enough.... sounds like a ND making excuses for a pitiful record next year.
Amazing.... BitcherND comes to this board to stir up some sh!t and every body (including myself) grants him his wish.
DW needs to take it to the corner because he doesn't have the power to run it straight up the middle. Sure, there are smaller backs in the NFL but they compensate for that with their speed. To play in the NFL, you need either power to run through guys, making it difficult to tackle you, or speed. He has neither. DW is a fine person and was a fine college player, but that is meaningless in the NFL where the players are much stronger and faster than in college. DW is sorta like Troy Smith, who excelled in college but doesn't have the size to play in the NFL.
So you say that he needs to take the corner because he isn't as strong as other backs? To take the corner against a strong, fast D takes speed.... but according to you he does not have that extra step. Which is it?
