Gotta agree with you on that one. Weis will have his work cut out for him with very little experience on the only side of the ball he knows how to coach. I don't see how they could beat Penn St. or Mich St. and certainly won't beat Mich or USC. Georgia Tech, UCLA and even BC should be out of their reach also. What will the poor domers say about "Weis the genuis" then? How much longer can they bemoan the recruiting of Ty?
Now, now... it's important to seek and find the positives here for ND... I'm thinking if Charlie decides to only consume 1,000 calories a day for the week following each loss next year... that he could be in 38" waist-size pants by the time he sits down to watch ALL the other teams play their 2007 bowl games.
I knew CW was a big man, but when they kept showing him at the Sugar Bowl, I kept thinking that he must have eaten all of the Notre Dame blocking sleds. I bet that man could put away some mudbugs!!! :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
He eats so much because he hasn't seen his pecker in years. It's a perpetual phenomonen know as dickeydoo; meaning his stomach sticks out further than his dickeydoo.:hihi:
Dude - Did I miss the part where bitter ND pissed on your rug? What the hell is he even talking about and why is he still here? Did he want us to talk S about OSU will that make him feel better... Let me help him out then OSU sucks, just not as bad as ND. F it dude, let's go bowling.
Walker gets a lot of flack from ND fans, but I think ND will miss him if he leaves early. For two consecutive years, he rushed for over a thousand yards. For both the team and Darius Walker, I think Walker leaving early is a mistake. Next year was going to be difficult enough, but not having Walker to relieve some of the pressure off the QB is going to make it all that much more difficult. His absence will be hard to fill. And, for Walker, I think he needed an extra year would have helped prepare him more for the NFL. And, more importantly, I would have liked to see him graduate with a degree because I can't see him doing that long in the NFL; he lacks the size and speed to play in the NFL.
Have we been watching the same RB? I don't like ND but I can admit that Walker is a good back. He's every bit as good as Julius Jones. I agree that he could benefit from another year. But jeeeez... Imagine what he could do on a REAL team.
Well I've heard it said that Walker is one of the more underrated backs in the game. I agree with this. Did walker look slow as he took the corner on our "fast" defense in the first half. Didn't he have a buck and some change by halftime on our pro-style defense? There are many small backs in the NFL, Jones-Drew, Dunn, Bush.... I think that all players could benefit by staying their full time in college. Walker will be fine, he is a good player and a classy guy. Now enough defending ND.
