What do you think Saban would do if he caught his players saying that? I hope he would not tolerate it!

Sure, trash talking is part of the game ... but racial slurs should have no part in athletics and those caught should be disciplined!

That is acceptable. And I'd have to agree with the other poster who said trash talking is part of the game, especially the one last Saturday.

hey rebelrealist....just because blacks call other blacks that, does it make it right? i think if you speak to most african-americans out there, they would say they disapprove of calling each other that as well. why don't you try calling all your friends honkey, cracker, or white trash today and see how good your day is.

trash talking is part of the game, but it does not have to be a racial deal. but i guess i should not expect a lot from an ole miss fan.

 

Maybe as the ultimate insult, we can start calling people Ole Miss fans. That should really upset some people...

Hey man, I live in Mississippi and I call people white trash and cracker all the time. I mean, I live by so many freakin' clay eaters. And let me tell you, those durn white trash idiots are the dumbest brood to have ever walked the earth.

Yeah, we're racists in Mississippi, just as racist as the people of Louisiana! The whites and the blacks are racists up here, pretty much just like the rest of the South!

I should know, I lived in New Orleans for 12 years and that's one racist city!

P.S. racial slurs as trash talking goes back a long, long time. Back in the 60s when Ole Miss and LSU (as well as all the other SEC team) played "white-boy" football, they commonly called one another names of the racial variety. This extended to the NFL, especially when black players started showing up on the rosters.
And, might I add, that if you don't like being insulted while you are playing for your school, then you should give up playing football.

 

Its amazing how none of the Ole Miss fans are believing this. They are saying that we are saying this because they signed Bowers. Why the hell would we care about Bowers anyways, another overrated Evangel kid.

 

Most of y'all need to chill. People get caught up in the heat of battle and say stupid shit. When I played I called people a lot worse things than that. I didn't read the article, but if they players that said that were black I really don't understand why y'all are getting so wriled up. I'm pretty sure players on every team talk trash and I can't say I'd be suprsied if I found out that one of our players said that too. It's not just a game, IT'S WAR!
