I think Florida pulled many starters way too early in the 3rd, no matter what the score was. It's not about running it up as much as maintaining the momentum and intensity while still executing with a big lead. At least it has been an interesting game.
It seems like Brooks is trying to win, but at the same time he's not... Down by 21 and they put the first team defense back in and you slow down the pace of the game..
Wow, Tenn has to travel to BR Monday and play a game the same day. Seems like a dis-advantage for them?
On WHAS Radio last night they were actually debating whether to A: Go to the game and boo or B: not go at all to let the AD at UK know just how fed up UK fans are. (if I was a UK fan I would have been fed up long before now). This was a down trodden, lackluster team with no direction or depth that somehow rose to the occasion and outscored UF 21 (and should have been 28) to 0 in the 2nd half. I know there wasn't much motivation for UF (except for pride) but for UK to put 28 up on anyone, especially St Urban is something to talk about. (gee Phatimus...how much did you put on the board against UF?)
i'd think it depends on how good youre ends are. other than that i guess you depend on stongside backer then safety (or cb with safeties rotating)
Kentucky really needs to fire Brooks. He has brought nothing to Kentucky. Anyone else hear the CBS reporters praising Brooks for coming back late in the game? Kept saying it showed how good of a coach he was.....and I was impressed with it...but I kept chuckling as UK still was down 49-28 and having their coach being praised
