Well, it WAS at the University of Florida, so there's part of your answer right there. :hihi:

i'm all for tasering any student at florida for no reason in particular.

    perhaps once a day even.

He was not cuffed when he was tasered. The reason he was tasered was because he was violently resisting. The taser is the safest, most harmless way to achieve compliance.

He was certainly already subdued by six officers and down on the ground with one hand already cuffed. Two officers have been suspended over the incident. I fail to see why six officers could not cuff a guy without tasing him.

He was neither handcuffed nor subdued. But sure, they could have done it. Do you fail to see how you can rip someone's elbow or shoulder ligaments by forcing their arm behind their back when they're fighting against it? A little electricity and they comply immediately, no injuries for the cops or the idiot. Why risk injury when you have a perfectly designed tool to get it done right?

Well, it only took two Mexican policemen to subdue and handcuff me in Ensenada and I was certainly resisting arrest.

exactly. we are talking about a taser, not a knife to the face. a taser hurts for a second, then it is over, you feel fine. i would definitey rather get tasered than stub my toe. stubbing your toe actually hurts. the issue with pain isnt how bad it hurts, but how long it hurts. pain that is over immediately is a non-problem.

i dont see the fuss over a situation where nobody was injured. nothing happened. a guy screamed like a girl. so what.

They should have tasered Kerry and put this guy on the stage instead. That was a pretty lame over reaction by the cops. It sure didn't look like they had reason to escort him away from the podium initially. Just a bunch of pu$$y cops trying to save Kerry from answering an embarrassing question.

ha, it took 6 guards at the Texas Club to take me out once back in '90. Of course, it only took 2 of em the first 3 times...:hihi:

So the dude's last name was Meyer, huh? Maybe it was the coaches son and not Tebow after all.
