When a guy is resisting arrest, possibly armed, and presenting a danger to the police or bystanders, then you taser him or pepper spray him in order to cuff him and control him. But . . . when you have a guy down on the ground, cuffed, with three officers holding him, and no threat to anyone, then tasering him is not justified. The police were pussies just trying to get some payback.
"dont tase me, bro'" thats classic. shouldnt have tased him though. kerry said "wait let me answer his question" if they had to remove him, just remove him. he wasnt violent. no use in risking the kids life over this.
You liberally inclined sorts need to understand the concept of deterrence. That little prick is going to remember the voltage surging through his peepee long after he forgets the handcuffing.
I agree if that's all there was to it, but as more information about this guy comes to light, Martin may be right when he says this guy wanted to be tased. It appears that he likes attention.
A taser is a non-lethal weapon. Unless he had a heart condition, in which case he shouldn't have been such a dumb ass in the first place. The video sucked but the audio shows that he was resisting all the way until the end. The taser obviously didn't bother him that much if he was able to cry police brutality. That was great.
He was begging for it. I especially like how he was screaming like a little girl and saying "don't taser me." Nice act, dude. He got his 15 minutes of fame.
Clearly the police should have got him drunk with some drunk chicks before tasering him and he would have enjoyed it.
I think we're missing the larger point: Why the hell was John Kerry giving a speech and how did they get people to show up?
