Many unlikely things have to happen for LSU to make the Rose Bowl, and yes this is a big piece. They are more than likely to lose to USC, but if they would win then what? You don't think this game would come into play? My bad, I guess an undefeated UCLA team would not stop us from smelling Roses.
Exactly, so UCLA loses today and beats USC down the road. That would help our chances. Do I really have to spell it out? Anyway, we are barely beating Apl State so it may not matter.
ok. the post i responded to said. a UCLA loss today is big because otherwise they would pass LSU. they are already ahead of LSU. but, to humor you, UCLA wins today and they still end up behind a LSU team that wins out because they will lose to USC. if they lose today and beat usc later, they might still be ahead of a one-loss lsu. in the end. i dont care about what ucla does.
I am not sure where you read about UCLA passing LSU. They were already ahead, and thus makes their loss even bigger. You must not remember 2003 when it came down to I think Syracuse beating Hawaii for us to get into the Sugar Bowl. This game was big today. It may or may not be a major factor, but it sure as **** does not hurt our chances.
I am glad to see this happen. We needed UCLA to lose. Woulnt bother me if they lost to Az. St too. Then they can beat USC and still have 2 losses. We need the next 3 ourselves. This game is big but it wont mean anything if we beat Bama and then lose one of the other games. Now we need USC to lose to Cal and UCLA. We Win Out. Beat Ga or Fla. in the SEC CG. Miami needs to lose too i hope.
