This article out of the Advocate today give me some optimism that the "offensive tone" LSU usually takes towards weaker opponents may have changed...

    "
But what makes the number more significant is that LSU showed a greater willingness to pass when it wasn’t forced to. In the game against Alabama, the Tigers led for just 25 minutes, and against Ole Miss they led for just 9½ minutes. On Saturday night they led for all but the first 5½ minutes and never trailed.

So LSU was more aggressive in calling pass plays, using them not just trying to convert long third downs or playing catch-up, but to move the ball regardless of the score and force TCU to reduce congestion around the line of scrimmage and create running room for the backs."

You don't know this. Just as I don't know that Hill will sit a second game.

The importance of the next two games is to let the starters get comfortable with the basic offense and defense and then get them off they field without injury. Then get some playing time for the youngsters who need some experience before facing Georgia and the SEC slate. Test the reserve kickers and punters. Get Rivers and Bolden some snaps. If Mettenberger ever goes down, Jennings is gong to need a lot of help.

I'd be happier than a pig n chit to see LSU jump out big in the first half and never see Mett at all in the 2nd. Let AJ take 50% of the of the 2nd half reps, and then let the other two QBs split the other 50% of the reps. With the same theme let Hill have the first half, and then split 2nd half reps between Blue and Magee.

He beat them out to be mobile back up to a drop-back starter. If Mettenberger goes down, it's a whole new ballgame and Jennings is completely unproven under fire. More quarterbacks would see the field.

The last I'd heard Hill is third on the depth chart and I doubt Les will be taking a poll of the fans to determine when he should even let him off the bench much less name him as his starter. Don't be a pig in shit, just let Miles handle Hill as he wants to. Not what someone in the media, an opposing coach or a fanbase be it of an opponent's or from within his own want him to do. Have faith in Miles, he'll do the right thing at the right time for all the right reasons. I have a feeling we will be happy with what we get.

oh really guess you didn't hear the miles press conference after the game, or that everyone knows lsu is a basic run down your throat team,so let's just see how many teams stack the box against us,and dare us to pass. big difference is better passing attack under cam.

I can almost garauntee you Hill is 3rd (if thats correct) because of his troubles. If anyone can name a better back on the team than Hill their drunk. When we start SEC play against Georgia, you bet your ass Hill will be up on that chart, and gonna get touches. My point is he needs some touches before we start conference play... i'd be willing to bet he gets some playing time to work out the rust in the next couple games.
