The short, simple answer is he lost his exempt status. He missed the Masters this year and it was the first time he hadn't played at Augusta in many years. A couple of examples of exempt status would be say top 60 in the world rankings or top 30 on the money list at a certain point prior to the tournament.
I'd like for her to be making me breakfast. Whoops, sorry Davis. Boo had a clutch shot on 18* to make the cut.
In the interviews I've seen she comes across as a typical teenager. But she has to have something on the ball to be attending Stanford. And with all of the lucrative endorsement contracts she signed she's laughing all the way to the bank.
Thats just ridiculous. Not that he is much of a factor but Sergio has made his way to 11th place. The pick looks a little better now.
Ridiculous is right and fun to watch. What a great spectacle. I love Rocco's attitude. Hate it that he bumbled a bit coming home. I wish it would have been him and Tiger in the final pairing tomorrow. Got to feel a bit sorry for Appleby. The guy always blows up in the majors when he's in contention. If you wonder why we have trouble winning the Ryder Cup just look at the leader board. Its loaded with Euro's. Tiger is hurting pretty bad. That knee is frail. Westwood is playing solid golf and it wont be a shoe in for Tiger unless Westwood just blows up. It should be a fun ride in the final round.
Well my initial prediction did indicate his knee would be just too much of a problem for him to win. Now I am putting that up against his perfect 13-0 record in majors in which he has been tied or has the lead after 3 rounds. I'm putting my money on 14-0. Willis Reed (broken leg), Kirk Gibson (no knees), Michael Jordan (flu game) come to mind.
