I agree with you. The article is saying LSU dominates without a lot of hoopla or fanfare b/c they beat you in all phases of the game even if the offense isn't pretty, i.e. is ugly. No marquee names built up by the media, just a solid team who wins in the trenches and has done it consistently.
same old story...blah blah blah.....lsu wins ugly, miles gets lucky, offense is horrible....blah blah blah......come on guys, we all know that's lsu's strengths. Play great defense, great special teams, manage your offense, pound your opponents, then take over in the 4th quarter with depth. By the way LSU's defense CREATES those turnovers their not just gifts. It's the way we play the game, while not a beauty queen, she wins the pagents!!! The good news is Jarret lee will continue to get better, with reps and game experience, as the game slows down for him, he will get better and better, and in the meantime we have a great offensive line and stable of stud running back why not use them untill the passing game catches up with the running game? I've long learned to put my doubts aside and say " I trust in miles" since then.....my enjoyment of the game has gone through the roof.
With a passing game who could beat us? Our passing game is unimpressive, but at least as good as we saw last year with JJ. I wouldn't say we missed JJ's legs too much, the RBs picked up that slack. I think we need to stick with Lee, there is more upside if we can get our passing game rolling. We'd be a beast. Really, we're already a beast. We'd be downright scary.
