Who's the douchebag who wrote that article? I don't see this as an ugly win. Maybe ugly on Oregon's part, they looked like crap IMO. I thought LSU looked pretty dang good. If you want to call it an ugly something call it an ugly loss for Oregon. Don't be calling this one an ugly win for us though.
A win is a win, doesn't matter how you get there. I wouldn't call this win ugly, though. The offense did what it needed to do, and Lee was impressive under the circumstances. Couple that with the dominating defense and awesome special teams, and that's a recipe for success. :geauxtige
What it looked like was the same LSU team we all know and love that we have seen for the last 4/5 years. Except that one game v. tosu other than that, yeah business as usual. Guess we can put that argument to bed now.
he was referring to the offensive output. read the last paragraph. we had what 98 yds passing? ugly in that respect. pretty if you wear purple and gold.
I think that's a reporter that looks at the numbers too much and was not watching the game. How many yards would JJ have thrown for? Probably not much different. JJ would have had a whole bunch of running yards against that defense I bet.
we were outgained, out first-downed, and out-turnovered. the box score doesnt tell the story thats for sure. seems you have a tampon to change. id suggest getting to it.
Now, that's just insulting to the ladies, tirk. FWIW, I enjoyed the article, especially the analogy about LSU being the ugly guy at the end of the bar who still goes home with the girl.
It was an ugly opener. Both teams would have benefitted from a cupcake game first, to iron out a few wrinkles. Both teams starting on the road against a top-5 opponent are bound to expose some bad PAT's, embarrassing bad snaps, receivers dribbling the football and such. Oregon was far uglier.
