He may or may not be in the Heisman conversation, but he's on a LOT of radar screens (and probably has been since the Bowl Game last year.) TM has a gift.

Herby referred to him often as the Ed Reed of college football.

Gotta love the sound of that.

RT @LSUBonnette: .@lsufball CB Tyrann Mathieu named Walter Camp Nat'l Def. Player of the Week. Second straight week a Tiger is honored. #LSU

This is why he is unbelievable on Saturdays:

    He does this everyday!

    (From BR Advocate)
Still all those big plays don’t completely do Mathieu justice, according to safety Brandon Taylor.

“He actually batted three balls in the air today and caught them and ran them all back for touchdowns in practice,” Taylor said Tuesday. “So we see it every day. You guys get to see it one day out of the week.”

And in only his 18th game as a collegiate athlete he sets the all-time record for Forced Fumbles...

Saturday continued the banner season for LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu, who stripped UK backup quarterback Maxwell Smith on a sack, picked up the ball and ran it 23 yards for a touchdown. It was one of two forced fumbles on the day for Mathieu, who has a school-record nine forced fumbles in just 18 career games.

if he continues this pace, i don't see any way he can't at the very least be invited to New York if not winning it all

Robert Griffin III may have a better shot at winning than the Honey Badger for the simple fact that history says that the Honey Badger is on the wrong side of the ball.
