All ready heard from some friends who blame Miles, either for recruiting him or not kicking him off last year.

I call bull on all of it. Don't recruit him and let him play for another SEC team and he lost a La. kid to a rival.

and NO coach would have done anymore than Miles last year. Anyone who thinks different is smoking the same stuff TM7 did

GEAUX TIGERS. We need everyone on the team to be of the same mind. Those who cannot figure out how difficult it was last year (during the parking lot brawl and later, the 'synthetic marijuana' fiasco) need to opt out now. This team needs to be on a single unswerving track to the National Championship--the one that we blew last year.

The train is leaving the station. Without TM7. That gap is ALREADY filled. Look at the RANKINGS! LSU # 1: Wanna get off THIS TRAIN?

    GEAUX TIGERS !!!

    THIS. F***ING. SUCKs.

but remember, last year Muschamp kicked All-SEC CB Janoris Jenkins off the UF team in the preaseason (and he was the #4 CB taken in the last draft)

also last season, Chip Kelly kicked All-American CB and elite punt returner Cliff Harris off the Oregon team

and Jimbo recently kicked star CB Greg Reid of the FSU team and he was one of the best punt returners in ACC history, was 2-time honorable mention All-ACC, a Freshman All-American, a 5-star recruit, a Parade All-American, etc etc

the only positive I can think of is that it's better for TM7 to get kicked off the team now rather than in the middle of the season, so we have time to groom someone else with the first team at both CB and punt returner

Key much more than this will be Mettenberger's play and improved LBer play, which IMO was the weak spot of the defense last year IF the LSU defense had one. It is a shame that LSU just had 3 secondary guys transfer... Vinson, Gibson, and Jenkins. Jenkins was supposed to be 4th on the CB depth chart so he could have moved up to first backup. Almost have to move Ronald Martin from safety to cornerback now.

I wonder if we keep that #1 ranking without him. I kind of doubt it...though it won't be a big drop. He is our biggest impact player, with noone that anyone can pinpoint to replace what he brings to the team.

This could turn into a good thing for this team...much like Shady's.

And I would bet Mathieu himself has no ill-will towards Les. I would also bet that wherever he is this fall, he will be a huge cheerleader for this team, even from afar.

Doesn't matter if it is against the TEAM RULES!

That is the very first thing I thought of. Wasn't Jefferson's suspension about 10 days before the Oregon game? This is at least 3 weeks ahead of time and LSU just started fall practice about a week ago. IF you are going to have this happen, the timing is not that bad.

I could care less right now. We'll be high enough to control our own destiny, that's all I care about

We can hope. One thing, we've got a few games to get adjusted.

    He shouldn't. It's his own fault[/quote]

There will definitely be more pressure on the offense to produce on possessions now that we've taken a huge hit to our ability to generate turnovers.
