I immediately knew this was about mathieu talking to advisers telling him to keep his draft status by staying at LSU and not a McNeese. this isnt about tyrann being a better person or any of that bullshit. its about dollars. and may be the smart play. problem is an idle tm7 is going to have a lot of time to for honeybadger to not give a shit.

So does he get one of those famous booster no-show jobs at some car dealership to pay for school in the meantime?

I thought about that but does sitting out a year help him? Maybe it does. I was thinking for him, playing next year and going pro right after would be more appealing financially. Dude wants to get paid now. Who knows.

Just out of curiosity, what are the rules on the CFL? Would TM7 be eligible to play a year up there and then be eligible for the NFL draft in April? That would seem to be a good option for him as he could make a little spending money, bring some attention to the league, and prove himself against better competition than at McNeese.

Nope he lost his scholly. those are for scholly kids but they may make an exception. apparently they even assigned someone to keep him on the path to clean piss yet when he went home with his buddies all bets were off.

it would be against same competition. Not at Lake Charles U. clearly a strategy play by guys on that level. he was advised LSU = a possible rd 1 draft because hype does matter. Ask Jamarcus.

And if he plays at podunk u hes 3rd round at best. his height and weight are going to already be red flags for many. 5'8 170 or whatever he is. he needs all the hype he can get.

oh i read that wrong. just ignore me.

That's not accurate. It calls for a one year suspension. In fact, it would be up to LSU if he gets to keep his scholly during that one year suspension...it's not even a guarantee that he would have to pay his own way.

See the following, which is a direct quote from LSU's Substance Abuse Policy for Athletes, particularly regarding the 3rd positive test.

Not Guilbeau. During my time away from TF, I decided to become a self taught reader. The info is readily available on lsusports.net, and I took advantage of my newfound learnings to educate myself even more. :)

you shoulda just read guilbeaus mention of it in this thread but it is a tad too long to follow.

oh if LSU is posting it maybe thats a message to ready us for another year of tm7. I got a feeling it wont happen however.
