NOLA.com is saying it was a 3rd failed drug test also. They mentioned the Auburn game last season and I had forgotten there was a 3rd guy suspended in addition to Ware and Mathieu...Tharold Simon. In clearly the glass half full outlook, thank goodness Simon didn't follow in Mathieu's footsteps. Then Les Miles could have said, "I have some very bad news. Both starting CBs are no longer with the team and we will be holding tryouts from the student body to add depth to that unit."
  4. I wonder if LSU has any guys on the team that also flunked the drug test.....but for the first or second time?
  5. Great ? My guess is yes.
  6. I can pretty safely predict how many more we're going to have this season after this.
  7. Dude, that list is seriously getting huge now.
  8. This is a real bummer but better now then during the season! Looking forward to football and another wonderful year! Geaux Tigers!!!

  9. I'm not sad for the team ... I think they'll be just fine. But I think it really sucks for TM7. I guess I'm the hold out ... I've always thought he was good at what he did in the slot LB position, but he never really impressed me much as a CB. He was a GREAT punt returner. But all that said, I'm not sure that TM could start at another top notch program [I'm not sure they'd even give him a look .. in fact, as I recall, none of them did]. CLM used TM to the teams advantage for what he was good for ... making plays off pass rushes, and playing nickle, and punt returns. But as a M. Claiborne style CB fit to be drafted into the pros .. TM7 never measured up to that. His best chance for being drafted was as a punt return specialists .. but now even that is "up in smoke".

What it all comes down to .. here ya had a kid from the hood, who got the chance to breakout, become something, be a role model for other kids. But as much as they could take him out of the hood, they couldn't take the hood out of him. A lacking character always falters sooner or later. The real world doesn't make up special rules for those of us on the bottom, no matter how good you are. ... only the Politician Elites get to enjoy that kind of stuff.

All in all ... I'm sad he dissed his future ... but I have no sympathy. I'd love to partake, but alas, I'm not throwing my job away.

  10. I agree this really sucks.

Quick question: Does this open us up to pick up another recruit for the class of 2013?

Seems like we have lost allot of players this year. Liggins, the three DB's etc.... Do we replace them all in 2013 recruiting or can we hold out for the 2014 class? (I think it is suppose to be loaded with talent)
