So far, he's sticking to his guns. He says the guys on College Gameday have a ton of power and under the current system, their opinions carry too much weight in shaping people's opinions.

On Holtz: CTT says what he said about Holtz was fair...that they sit there and cut teams and coaches down and they don't really know what they're talking about a lot of times. In his opinion, if they get to criticize coaches and players, then he has every right to fire back with an opinion of his own.

Patrick keeps saying the system is to blame and CTT agrees with him, but he says the fact of the matter is, THIS is the system we're under and therefore these ESPN guys should watch their opinions.

I just heard that the Auburn/Kentucky game would not be televised....not even on pay per view. (not because of kentucky refusing, but because of network rights) I didn't really understand exactly what they were talking about....but I did understand the radio news guy to say "it could be ESPN getting Tubby back". Is that possible? Could they really do that?

Sometimes he thinks the Gameday guys bias gets in the way of people being able to cast more objective votes.

That decision was known before CTT's comments came to light.

I just listened to it. He really backed down from a lot of his comments. Dan Patrick seemed to have him a bit rattled. At the end Dan Patrick said "I can understand your comments if ESPN had the National Championship game, but we don't".

Tuberville missed a golden opportunity to point out that indeed they do in a way becuase ABC & ESPN are one in the same.

I listened to it too and I didn't take it that way. Which comment did he back down from? He stuck to his belief that the Gameday guys have too much influence under the system we have. He stuck by his comments that people who always know what they're talking about (such as certain coaches there) when they starts criticizing kids and coaches. He said that those guys get to express their opinions about teams, players and coaches so what's wrong with him being able to give his opinion of the ESPN guys?
