whether we are better at skilled positions or not...with such a pathetic kicking game, we will have a hard time winning any close games from here out unless that issue gets corrected immediately. this could be our downfall.....punting/kick-offs/fgs = problem areas.

Per CTT: While we won't move it to Nov. 6th..."we could move it to Sunday". Now that would be an interesting development. Have we ever played on a Sunday?

let us not forget just how good LSU is at the end of the year. 2001 lost 3 early became the best team in the nation later (ask Mazzone, Lovett, and UT) Last they also improved towards the end. Plus we need to get Russell while he is raw and we are healthy!

I see a problem with Sunday and it's called the NFL. No way is the SEC Commish. going to lose that big CBS payout for a Saturday game. CBS already has the NFL for Sunday and they will not get bumped.

I am for the safety of the players and fans for both teams first, so please do not take this the wrong way. But if it was moved to Sunday wouldn't that mean no tv coverage then? CBS has agreements with the NFL for afternoon games. The only thing I can see would be ESPN for the afternoon. But it would have to be over with before 8:00pm for the ESPN NFL night game.

I say we tell the SEC to screw it.

I'm proud of Tuberville refusing to move the game to November 6. Moving the LSU game to the end of the season cost Auburn a win, an SEC West Title, and possibly an SEC Title back in 2001.

That time, it could not be helped due to the terrorist attacks of September 11.

But this time, Tuberville and Auburn can say too bad. I think if it is too dangerous to play on Saturday, then the game should be moved to Sunday. If CBS or the SEC has a problem with it, then too bad. I'd rather see Auburn pay the SEC the lost revenue before we agree to play on November 6...but we shouldn't even have to do that.

Although I'd love to find a way for ESPN to do it Sunday, heck, if we have to, let's do it Sunday and let JP do it.

You look at LSU's schedule and you see why Saban is willing to move the game to Nov. 6...that puts the game between 2 home cupcakes for them...Vandy and UAT.

We can put away all those pens and markers we were going to use for the Gameday Corndog signs. Hopefully they will return at some point this year. It is good exposure.

We could still play on CBS Sunday if they made it a 7:00 pm start like they are doing with UT vs UF. I would think CBS would love that b/c it would give them a chance to put a big dent into the ESPN Sunday Night Game ratings. Only problem would be travel for our out of town fans, they may have to suddenly get sick early Monday morning.

The SEC gets CBS's money whether or not they broadcast the AU/LSU game. CBS can move to another game, or televise this one on Suday night.

    GeauxFY,

You're right in one aspect... CTT will do what he's been told.. And he's been told to expose your overrated corndog A$$.

Game on corndog. Bring Randle, Russell, and whoever else you've got. We'll play it on the field or in a dirt lot. It doesn't matter. You're about to be exposed.

If LSU cites legitimate concerns for safety, they can decline to travel and the game must be rescheduled. There is precedence for this action.

I hope the game is on, because it works to AU's favor I believe, so LSU may try to force the issue, resulting in a Nov 6th postponement.

Any coach would be stupid not to stack the box until our QB's and WR's prove they can get the job done.
We should be prepared for this all year long!

With regard to postponing or not postponing this game...the safety of playes and fans is of first concern.

If this storm goes through Alabama and there is massive damage and there are power outages on Saturday, the authorities will be too busy to provide security for a damned football game.

It will be postponed..and it won't be Tuberville's call.

It seemed that Opal caused quite a bit of damage and it was not as strong as what Ivan could be. We might not be able to play a game regardless of whether we want to or not.
I personally had rather play them this Sat. especially with their qb troubles. But if has to be Nov. 6th then let's Just Do It. Dye had his Amen corner.
As Rick Flair says "To Be The Man You Got to Beat The Man". And based on last year like it or not right now LSU is the Man.
So Sept 18th or Nov 6th I'm looking for us to kick their butts.

If the safety of the players and fans were of the utmost concern, then the SEC would never allow any games to ever be played in baton rouge.

Tub will not voluntarily reshedule, why dont you corndogs just suck it up and take what you got coming to you?

Maybe if you say it enough it will come true! Don't worry who, it will not matter what date the game is. The outcome will be the same. A big fat L in the LSWho win/loss column.

I'd try not to sound so scared to play us though. That just doesn't look good on your part

This game can be cancelled as late as Friday after the storm because of the November 9 open date. There is no need to jump the gun here. This storm may not even hit LA or AL so why cancel the game on Monday.

But, if I were Tubs I would want to play after the regular season.

Oh and tell Nickie boy he is an arrogant jerk!

Here's tellin' it like it is.....

Most Auburn fans are concerned about the weather, and facing a formidable opponent this early in the season with a young defense. Many - if not most - Auburn fans secretly question whether we have the horses to stay with a conference foe that won a MNC last season as a relatively young team. Deep down, ALL Auburn fans know they haven't seen a team this good since LSU last season. Auburn fans are glad that this one is at Jordan-Hare ...... expecting the worst and hoping for the most magical of upsets.

Most LSU fans have begun to curb their enthusiasm (not necessarily a bad thing) in light of a less-than-dominant performance against OSU. Many in the Bengal nation are not quite as confident as they were two weeks ago, and secretly wonder if "Ears" has finally cracked the code by giving up control over the offensive gameplanning. Deep down, most LSU fans now know that Ronnie Brown must be considered at least as big a threat as Caddy to run over a safety or two, and that AU's young D has executed better than previously expected. LSU fans always wish they were playing in Tiger Stadium (nor do I blame them) :thumb:
