Before the invasion of illegal aliens there were lots of construction jobs filled by black and white workers. A lot of them paid experienced workers today's equivalent of $18 to $24 per hour and $10 an hour for laborers. Not going to make anybody rich but a living wage. Now go to any construction site. Mostly Mexican. I'm not saying they don't work hard but they also work cheap. In New Orleans, over 50% of the black men of working age are unemployed. How many of them would love to have one of those jobs now being done by aliens?
I didn't say he was a moderate. His bombast is playing to the crowd. His history has been much to hold more center left positions. He has been pro choice and other causes on the left. As you said he has no real track record other than playing to the crowd. I wouldn't vote for him vs HRC. Now does that tell you something? Don't stick him to me sport.
But to a certain right wing crowd. My point was that he is not moderate enough by far to pull the independent moderates in a general election. Yet he does not hold those cases today when he is running as a republican. He has serious credibility issues when he stands on both sides of a dispute. Its why his lack of a record in actual public service is damning.
And being on the right I would say just the opposite, I think he is too far toward the middle. I think the most of his support is from the middle coupled with the Jim-Bobs with a few teeth and a rebel flag (collectively)
Dude, he is is not running for the middle, he is running for the nomination to be the Republican candidate. His noise is not resonating with independents or with intellectuals, not even Republican intellectuals. Jim-Bob is a goose-stepping right wing fascist, of course.
I won't because I know he cant. I don't have a need to hear myself pontificate on stuff that is coming out of my ass.
Hedge fund managers. He really didn't come out and say tax the rich, he just said that he thinks hedge fund managers are paper pushers and don't pay their fair share. Which I agree with but let's be honest, he ain't going after the 1 percent. Here is where I disagree with Red though. Trump's little spill in the debate about how he gives money and expects a return on investment from politicians was probably the most important thing said in the last 20 years at any presidential debate. We all know it happens, but no politician will admit it, especially not in election season, and he did and I thought that was fucking awesome.
