1. That's what's wrong with politics today. In the old days politicians could compromise, and everyone wins in some way and yes concessions were made by both parties. Now it's all about the win. Doesn't even matter what it is. For a lot of republicans getting rid of Obamacare has nothing to do with the bill and everything to do with destroying it because of the guy's name on it.

It's all about the win. No matter what.

  2. It was actually a pretty terrible bill though.

  3. It's a heritage foundation bill and honestly I think the logic is sound if people use it correctly and buy Coverage but they don't, so...... failure.
  4. ...and don't forget that not a single D has sided w/ the R's in changing it. At least a few R's are willing to break party ranks. Regardless of how bad a bill is, you would think a few would break ranks. If compromise were going on, you would have way more R's voting against, and way more D's voting for. Pretty sad state of affairs.
  5. Please don't think that I'm saying the dems are angels. They are half of what is wrong with this country.

  6. but the most conservative democrat out there, joe manchin from w. va says not one republican has reached out to him since trump was elected in regards to health care. No elected congressman or senator in this country, republican or democrat, has the appetite to take away the subsidies for health care and expanded medicare. that cat ain't getting back in the bag.
  7. You are correct. Pretty sad state of affairs. Get rid of the ALL!

  8. LS, you are correct. I didn't think you were saying D's are angels. They all suck and are too stubborn to reach across. Pretty fucked up.

  9. Lesson learned. Don't try and inject a little humor in a political thread.
