What makes Steve King of Iowa a white supremacist? Born white so therefore is a supremacist? Believes we need borders like every other country? Is politically incorrect? Likes the 2nd amendment? What?
this story is from Jan 19: Iowa Rep. Steve King has a history of controversial remarks. Here are some that riled people up https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-king-most-controversial-comments/2578768002/ lots more where that came from
Read up on King. What I see is he doesn't want our country overrun with people who doesn't want to assimilate but rather wants to change our culture into the culture where they emminated from. England and France are fighting to keep the Muslims from changing their culture. They are well on their way and the Muslim communities are instituting Sharia law in parts of that country. Same thing in France. Count me in on his view about that. Thats not racist thats common sense. I don't understand his comments about rape and incest makes no sense but has nothing to do with racism it's just bizzare. So one guy and he is borderline at best even using the lefts imterpretation of whats is a racists racist. Not enough room on this forum to mention all the hateful racists coments about jews, all white people, blacks lations and all women who are conservative, all country folks and all conservatives. In the lefts view even Biden and Pelosi are now white supremacist.
i suspect this had something to do with the label: Anti-Defamation League condemns Rep. Steve King's meeting with far-right Austrian group Robin Opsahl, Des Moines Register Published 6:29 p.m. ET Oct. 25, 2018 | Updated 2:06 p.m. ET Oct. 31, 2018 The Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish non-governmental organization, called on Speaker Paul Ryan to condemn Rep. Steve King and remove King from his chairmanship of the House Judiciary subcommittee Wednesday. The call came a week after new reports found the Iowa Republican met with members of an Austrian far-right political party associated with neo-Nazi movements on a trip funded by a Holocaust memorial nonprofit, new reports found. The Pittsburgh synagogue shooting was a reminder that antisemitism needs to be condemned, said Jonathan Greenblatt, the national director of the ADL. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-neo-nazi-holocaust-election-vote/1765526002/
this is a broad statement and not altogether true because we have laws that prevent individuals from always acting in their own self-interest like when a man is hungry but he gets arrested when he steals food. Further, over the course of our history we've had to adopt laws to prevent individuals who were acting in their own self-interest from exploiting others, like with child labor laws. I'd be very careful with quoting Rand as some kind of gospel. Like Marx and many other theorists, their words sound better on paper but put into practice they quickly prove to be unrealistic. On this we agree. How does that Trump tax increase via tariffs set with you? How do you feel about that budget that was just passed on August 1 with a deficit of 1.2 trillion?
Hopefully is not a word you want to use when discussing the economy. I want to be clear that I am actually a supporter of Trump's China policy. They had to be taken on and I applaud Trump for being willing to do so. That said, he has gone about it all wrong imo. The Chinese are smart and we have to be smarter. Diplomacy and making trade deals with their neighboring countries is the best way to bring China to the table. Right now the Chinese are waiting for 2020 because they do not believe he will win again. In fact, I have long suspected that since the Trump administration has ignored election security that the Chinese could play a similar role for the Dems that the Russians did for Trump is 2016. You'll get no argument from me on this one. If you go back and look at my post I was quite clear that my side has it's own problem children. The problem is that their voices are louder and get heard more than those of reason. It makes for better television these days, I suppose.

I condemn hateful statements regardless of party and I've been quite clear that there are radical elements to both parties who are the minority in their own party but whose voices get the most air time.
