I will concede this if someone can tell me that at no point no democratic senator had ever talked with Russian ambassadors or officials.
kinda like Clinton saying he didn't have sex with that woman,.. technically correct,.. but evasive and essentially a lie.
In no way are you correct. They asked if he talked to Russia as part of Trumps Campaign. He did not. He was a senator as you know.
I think he's just trying to weasel his way out of trouble, let's see how the investigation plays out..
SEN. AL FRANKEN: "If there was any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this (2016) campaign, what would you do?," the Minnesota Democrat asked. SESSIONS: "I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians." HE LIED.
While I think this is a huge mess, that will only get worse, I will say, the first rule of dealing with Congress is to answer the specific question and give no more or no less. Sessions was asked about campaign communications, he said no. He followed the rule. But, what a dumbass. Following the rule, in this politically charged environment, was stupid. If the two contacts were innocent he should have told them. OBTW, I have ...... And, if there is nothing to hide, why is there any resistance to an independent counsel? Hell, tell the Dems there is nothing to hide and challenge them to pick whoever they want. Unless . . . .
