Until now, the process has always been that a crime is discovered, and then investigators follow clues and facts that lead them to the perpetrator. But this investigation began with the premise that Trump must have stolen the election, and now they have spent nearly two years looking for evidence to prove the premise. It is the exact opposite of American justice.

Trump's crime was being elected President and not being part of the establishment. For the establishment it is critical that he is not reelected and he will be pounded by the deep State & their MSM until election day - to protect the establishment's 'corruption' & 'power' from being exposed. And to insure that he will not be reelected. They know they just need to splinter off a small percentage of his voters. Versus driving some to him.
