He was down in every 2016 poll known to man kind. How did that turnout?

Again dude, more or less votes dont fucking matter in our system so I DONT FUCKING CARE...

It's clearly not SIMPLE enough for you.

You can throw any fucking number you want at me. Not a single polling agency had Trump winning in 2016.

So then we agree you wasted your own time going down this diatribe?

Yes, he has exposed these things and more.

You lack the capability to look into things for yourself. Trump has flipped the GOP upside down and as turned the Dems into war hawks lol. To have Democrats calling for Troops in Syria is fucking hilarious. AND THIS IS JUST ONE EXAMPLE.

The silent majority in this country notice these things.

Umm.... Looks like your tampon is leaking bro.

And before you ask, yes, men can have periods too!

On page 18, wow pretty epic thread. Some great post on both sides.

Really people need to stop being willfully ignorant in this day and age. Also we all need to be ok with being wrong. Move on when you are, and we are all being conned by someone in this digital age. Hopefully over the next few years we can get some progress on this issue and stop fake news.

Don't be so scared of democratic socialism, it's just a new idea out there. Mix some capitalism with democracy add some socialism. We have 1 foot in already. It's not the boogie man you want to make it out to be. Read up on it and understand it. It could be a fucking horrible idea, it could be great. But the current system isn't working

Says who? You cannot take away the incentive for people to work. What in the wide world of sports do you think happens when you do? They stop working that's what.

And please don't say it will only be a limited socialist element. That is how they all start. Once that ball starts rolling it can't be stopped.

Exactly as the polls predicted, 46% for Trump and 48% for Clinton. Trump lost the popular vote by 3.5 million votes but won the Presidency based upon a grand total of about 70,000 votes over Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.

It has nothing to do with elections to ask the very simple question, do you think that Trump has won or lost support since he took office. You know the answer but you don't want to say it. It's okay, your obfuscation is enough. Trump has lost support since he took office. That has nothing to do with elections. You are the one who wants to make my simple question about something other than what it is.

Because national polls don't work that way, brother. This is very simple. Trump lost the popular vote by the amount that most polls predicted he would. He won based upon our archaic electoral college rules. Doesn't matter now, he won by the rules we have in place. That said, the national polls were not wrong.

He hasn't exposed anything Pride and I will pull a chapter from your book and say prove it. Let's see your evidence that he has exposed anything other than himself to an ugly porn star.

Trump hasn't flipped the GOP upside down. If anything he has galvanized a percentage of his own party against him because he refuses to stand up for traditional conservative principles. He has blown the federal deficit wide open with his tax bill that did little to help the working man. He has openly stated that he doesn't care about the deficit and that "they" will deal with it when he is out of office. Aside from appointing conservatives justices what else has he actually accomplished for conservatives?

Democrats are calling for responsible leadership. Most Republicans are as well as it pertains to Syria. Sure, I'd love to see us get out of the middle east but we should do so responsibly, not as a knee jerk reaction. Trump was all set to sign the bill passed by the Senate (unanimously) and the House (still Republican) until Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter started bashing him and he took a call from Erdogan, the leader of Turkey, who wanted us out so he can slaughter the Kurds. Further, if you think Trump is so dovish on the military then why has he ramped up military spending at the expense of our expanding debt and deficit? Why does he brag about his military build up?

For someone who claims not to be a Qanon believer, you sure do use a lot of their lingo. There is no silent majority in this country. A majority means that there are more than 50%. Trump got 46% of the vote in 2016, that's hardly a majority.

I'm sure you know all about it.

I will give you that you acknowledged that it is the rule we have in place but there is nothing wrong with the EC. It does exactly what it was designed to do.

Health care, look at the article that came out yesterday on generic drugs. India I think does this to the extreme but all their drugs and their prices are dirt cheap. Of course I think it should only be certain types of drugs that need to be subsidized by the government. Need a healthy private sector with government money in some cases to develop new drugs. So the Indian model only works because of Europe and US markets. I imagine that we will need to tackle the drug problem on a global scale, and it is mostly

    ..... The future
The work will be gone in a few decades maybe. Ai will put most of us out of work. Ai will even put me out of business too and sooner than later. I am a Software developer. What do we do then... The best answer to that question so far is not going to make you happy

I think everyone has a love/hate relationship with the EC based upon whether it most recently benefitted your preferred candidate or not. In the past 5 Presidential elections 2 of them were won by candidates who did not win the popular vote. If there would be a silver lining to scrapping the EC, which I doubt we ever will, it would be to force candidates to have to campaign in all 50 states rather than focusing their attention on 7-8 states. Here in NC my vote counts because it is a swing state but in Louisiana or California my vote really wouldn't count that much because those states are going to go R or D regardless. I also think a popular vote would increase voter turnout because that guy in Louisiana who is staunchly Republican but will not vote because he knows his state will go red might get out and vote if he thinks his vote counts toward a national popular vote.

THIS. This is what I am waiting for a politician to address. So far no candidate has been willing to square with the American people about the real threat to their jobs.

Head in sand, automation and globalization has been doing it for decades. We manufacture more shit now than ever, but robots and computers do most of the work.

Like the trade deficit "issue" is plan silly. We are rich enough to buy more than we sell because we are rich, but Trump for some reason thinks this is bad, so ramps up a trade war and now whole industries hurt. And oh yeah your iPhone now cost 1500. Winning

All of that is great and I can understand the popular vote thing and if your guy won or lost. The fact is I have a lot of issue with California and the Northeast being able to rule for everyone else in the country and that is exactly what would happen. I can never be on board with that.
