Just going to put this out there. The zone the US troops were in Contained 90%+ of Syria’s oil and gas potiential and their largest field. The US being there stabilized the US backed interest in this area. Wikileaks released CIA docs in 2010 about US/Saudi interest in this area. Obama originally sought this goal and Bolton and Trump seemed to have the same mindset. Will be interesting to see how Saudi reacts. Need to watch Turkey.
