I dont know why you are sooo hung up on him misspeaking. Trump gave them their biggest increase in like 9 years. He speaks off the cuff all the time. You must be miserable to be around. Have you forgotten that? What I don’t do is use Obama’s or HRC’s actions as an excuse to let Trump’s pass. I’m holding Trump to the same standards. You both complained when liberals and the media gave Obama passes on his shit. Do you think that truth only matters when it’s judging the opposition? Are you all so desperate that that you accept such a degenerate as Trump at his word? Have you abandoned your supposed standards for political gain?
You conflate issues. You claimed that Trump's comments about military pay raises were lies. I suggested to you that they were inaccurate and were not purposeful misinformation or lies. I then provided you examples where Obama made several mistakes and inaccurate statements based on what he believed or thought he knew but I didn't see them as lies. I'm focused on production output,, not concerned right now about this stupid debate over character and the constant misapplication of words. So again, the overriding issue on military pay raises is that the military stands to get 10% over the course of Trump's first term. Further increases are now part of the permanent budget rather than a constant debate. To me that's all good.
I didn't care then and will likely forget this as well. Its a non-issue Who uses them as an excuse? We use them as examples of no-one giving a shit then therefore why the shits now? Let me repeat this again. We had a choice between HRC and Trump... Trump all day.
I'll give you another example where a president was wrongly demonized and people failed to look at the bigger picture. I'very made it clear I am no fan of w. However the photograph that was taken and shared around the world of him sitting on an airplane looking out the window at the aftermath of Katrina was really misrepresented. The left called him out for being racist and insensitive. If you read his own comments about what went on there, you would understand it had nothing to do with that. And in fact it was in my opinion a poignant picture of a president observing a disaster, nothing more and nothing less.
You’ve tried to twist the argument. Trump’s lie about the amount of the pay raise was only one part of the multiple lies he told the soldiers in Iraq. You haven’t the guts to answer the other lies he told especially the one about them getting no raises in the decade before. In fact you ignored the reason for my ire....that Trump has the effrontery and lack of respect for the military to lie to their faces. Have you no shame?
That may have been a valid reason in November 2016....it is meaningless and holds no place in today’s debate.
