I'll concede this one cuz I like ya I know two things for sure, I want what's best for our country, and so do you.
No doubt And while I can recognize your disdain for Trump, hell I can even understand it and actually acknowledge that he is a turd. The fact that the way they are going after him, the methods, the circumventing of the rule of law is atrocious. It is at levels we have not witnessed and sets an awful precedent for all of us. If they can do this to a sitting president what happens when they want one of us? I get it. You don't like him, but don't allow your hatred of him allow you to turn a blind eye to the way our system is supposed to work.
Did Trump say the raise was specific to THIS year or just ONE year? Fact check for AP....no, he did not. So, it is a fact that at 2.4% per year times 4 years he will have overseen a raise of 9.6% for the troops in his first term. And, IF Trump’s consistency holds for the duration of two full terms he will deliver up to nearly 19.2% in pay increases over the course of his time in office. And in September he signed a bill, which for the first time in a decade, did not tie raises and spending for the military to a “continuing resolution” but rather they became a hardened budgetary item. These are all facts....very good facts if you are in the military. But the media is more concerned about Trump's accuracy. IDGAF if the troops benefit and it's clear they are.
He said he had raised their salary by 10%. I don’t know where you come from but that’s a claim of a past accomplishment in every other conversation I’ve had. There’s no reasonable interpretation he was making a promise....except if you’re trying to prop up a lie. Your equivocation is weak very weak. You ignore his FLASE CLAIM....LIE that the servicemen and women hadn’t had a raise in 10 years. What about that ball? Please address the other lies listed in the article.
I don't know who "ball" is, but I don't jump because you say so. I see something a lot both in the media and on chat boards as well. Someone might post inaccurate information and the other side concludes that it is a lie...purposeful and intentionally misleading. I don't believe that a lie is what happened where Trump is concerned on military pay raises. The fact is, he has and will continue to raise their pay and he has un-entangled future bumps by making them a permanent part of the budget. Military wins no matter how you look at it but by all means, keep focused on the bullshit.
