Then how do other agencies know when the President has made such a declassification? Sure the acting President can declassify just about anything they want. But if they do so and never tell anyone else, what good is it? How is anyone else in government supposed to find out that the President declassified some info? Do they just guess? There has to be a mechanism for the executive branch to inform the other branches of government and other agencies within government that the President has declassified certain materials or said declassification is meaningless.
