Not for presidents. They have all taken "secrets" home and kept them.

Further, as the Supreme Court said, its up to the President to determine.

Also, what secrets did Trump take? You see, this very question is why, I believe, nothing will happen.

Not so. It WAS a document ownership dispute until Trump started conspiring with his pal to keep certain documents from the archives and obstructing the doj’s investigation.

Yea. Trump did the same thing during Russia gate because it was a political hitjob. In the end, same result. You wont get obstruction for bullshit. You know, there needs to be an actual crime to obstruct.

Again, I also reference case law in which Clinton also disputed his items all the way to the Supreme Court and won. Though, I am guessing you will tell me somehow this is different even with the Supreme Courts most succinct language.

As President he does have unlimited power to declassify. There is, however, a process following his decision to archive the declassified materials and notify the departments and bureaus effected by the declassification. It says so in the Supreme Court decision that you two like to quote so much. Further, those powers do not follow the President after he is out of office. IF Trump declassified any materials there should be an account of it and there is none. Magically all the documents yes he declassified before leaving office were archived except this one. Hmm….but here is the kicker….you ready?

this case has absolutely nothing at all to do with classification. NADA…zero. So all of this argument is completely moot. That is why his attorneys, nor the talking heads, nor Republican congressmen and women are claiming that classification matters at all. So you can cite that Supreme Court decision stomp your feet and say it was all declassified but it will never matter. It is irrelevant.

I say you are wrong. We will see what happens. What I do find humorous is you fancy yourself more legally versed than Trumps attorneys and the DOJ.

Oh really. What process is that? I read the entire thing. Please quote...

Do you have Trump on security cam going back to the whitehouse sneaking in after he left office?

Are you suggesting these boxes made there way to Florida AFTER he left office? If so, who brought them? Secret ninjas?

I see, so you didnt read the case. This case is really about what the president deems "personal".

Let me know when you actual have read it. I can review with you!

"The PRA distinguishes Presidential records from “personal records,” defining personal records as “all documentary materials, or any reasonably segregable portion thereof, of a purely private or nonpublic character which do not relate to or have an effect upon the carrying out of the constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President.” Id. § 2201(3). The PRA provides that “diaries, journals or other personal notes serving as the functional equivalent of a diary or journal which are not prepared or utilized for, or circulated or communicated in the course of, transacting Governmental business” should be treated as personal records. Id. § 2201(3)(A). The PRA requires that all materials produced or received by the President, “to the extent practicable, be categorized as Presidential records or personal records upon their creation or receipt and be filed separately.” Id. § 2203(b)."

So far, the Fed legal teams going against Trump are scoreless while Trump has beat them all.

Sure, this is the one. We get it.

I don’t speak for everyone, but I will say that my what-aboutism is mainly from the way you and rex are so indignant about Biden and Hillary skirting any kind of responsibility and Justice. But when it comes to trump, you’re so excited to see it happen. It’s honestly disgusting at how fake the 2 of you are and what polarizing politics has made out of you hypocrites
