Current delegate count (1237 is needed to win):

708 have been awarded thus far (20 more left to be decided in Texas)
    Trump 332
    Cruz 230
    Rubio 113
    Kasich 25
    Carson 8

Trump is currently winning 47 % of the delegates. He needs to win 50 % + 1 in order to secure the nomination and prevent potential chaos at the convention. If you take out what is essentially an anomaly with Texas, Trump has won a little more than 52 % of the delegates.

Doing the math of Trump continuing to win 47 % of the delegates up until the March 15 primaries (on/after this date is strictly winner take all):

    March 5
    Kansas 40, Kentucky 46, Louisiana 46, Maine 23

    March 6
    Puerto Rico 23

    March 8
    Hawaii 19, Idaho 32, Michigan 59, Mississippi 40

    March 12
    DC 19

    347 delegates up for grabs:

Here is what it could roughly look like up until March 15:
    Trump 495
    Cruz 343
    Rubio 168
    Kasich 37
    Carson 12

Now comes the most important date of the calendar year, March 15:
    Florida 99, Illinois 69, Missouri 52, North Carolina 72, Ohio 66, N. Mariana Islands 9

Even if you give Kasich Ohio and Trump runs the table (likely based on current polling):

1422 awarded, 1050 left, 1237 needed to win
    Trump 796
    Cruz 343
    Rubio 168
    Kasich 103
    Carson 12

FYI, John King of CNN who crunches the numbers came up with these figures:
    Trump 781
    Cruz 340
    Rubio 241
    Kasich 41

Rubio drops out, who cares what Carson does, Kasich is irrelevant moving forward as well. So it's a two man race, essentially and now Trump can really start to rack up the delegates in the winner take all affairs.

At this point, Trump has won 56 % of the delegates. Of the 1050 delegates left, Trump would only have to win roughly 40 % to Cruz' 60 %.

Carson has finally dropped out. Again, it's meaningless. Totally meaningless to anyone.

Trump supporters are too stupid to realize his policies won't work and are left wing in many instances. No sense trying to tell them.

Clinton is probably going to select Julian Castro as a running mate, up and coming politician from San Antonio Texas. I think if she chooses him, it's game over, no matter who wins on the right.

Not really the point. The point is, he's not a conservative and most of his followers who are conservatives, think he is.
