all of this is exactly true. our mistake in the ME has been imagining that everyone is like americans, wanting freedom and human rights and democracy. there are billions of people on earth who very angrily do not want that. it was well-intended, our adventures in the area. we always wanted peace and stabilty for the people. we never did this for oil or money or any of that shit. but the fact is that some folks dont want to live in free democracy. hard for us to understand, and we have tragically failed to see it, but its true. billions of people hate freedom.
I think you’re very much wrong about that. What is happening in Hong Kong, in Russia (the largest anti Putin protest in years) in Iran in Venezuela and even in parts of the Middle East? Syria started because there was a strong movement to oust Bashad and it likely would have succeeded except OBAMA let the Russians in. That little pencil necked shit should have been impeached for that. There is action for freedom....aren’t the HK protesters wearing American flags? No at this time there is too much power in bad government hands but the push for freedom is strong. It’s uneven and maybe halting but it’s underlying strength is obvious.
