Its about making money for those who own the private and charter schools.

Jindal is just toeing the Republican line here. Slash and burn the universities which are hotbeds of socialists, communists and intellects. Then privatize the public schools so that creationism and other phony science can be taught with public money.

I think he's just afraid that if the general public becomes more intelligent then he'll be out of a job.

Funny, I see it more as he should be running as Obama's VP. Together they could envision a socialist America.

What Jindal did messing with peoples' retirement is a first. Not sure how/where I'd characterize that. When people go to work and accept that certain things such as their retirement package will be a certain way you don't just go changing it. Before someone says companies go under, it happens, that's not the case here. Years of mismanagement by the dickheads in the Capital and it's not too late to hold up their end.

There was bipartison support too. Fuckers in BR are all for sale.

Late in his career twain was in fact self centered and hopeless. Some of his most brilliant works come from that time.

That article is talking about the voucher system. The voucher system, for those of you who don’t know, allows kids from failing schools to transfer to any school in their district that accepts vouchers, be it private or public. As of now, all 119 schools that have been approved to accept vouchers are private; all of the public schools have declined to be a part of the voucher system.

The child and their parents choose the school, if they are dumb enough to choose a school that teachers that crap so be it. Though I don’t expect this program to last long as is due to the state opening the door to constitutional issues by openly denying some Islamic schools based on the fact that they were teaching Islamic values.

My personal issue with it is some of the participating schools would receive a failing grade if they were state ran, thus they are allowing a kid to leave a failing school to go to a failing school. That just don’t make no sense, as they say.

This seems funny to me. The state gives kids at underachieving schools an opportunity to go to better private schools and a small portion of those schools teach creationism so now it's a terrible thing? come on. No one is forcing anyone to go to these schools. It's an option if you feel it is a better school for your child. What's the problem?

Not sure if you're serious or not.

Nobody's forced to go to that school. So what's the problem if it teaches that down is up and up is down. Don't go there. You of all people should agree with that. (maybe you do and were being sarcastic. Hard to tell)
