I've read shitty reviews, but I like it. I like the fact that it's more character driven. Last year the intent was it to be character driven but the supernatural and lovecraftian twists kind of took away from the characters. And if you watch the credits, Woody and MM are executive producers. Give it some time, it will get better.
Give it time, episode 1 was just to show you how fucked up everyone's life is, except for Rachel McAdams, the dude who plays her dad and has been in more movies than Danny Trejo pretty much nailed her.
It wasn't a bad as some early reviewers made it out to be but it didn't reel me in nearly as much as the Matt and Woody show last year. My biggest question is what the hell did Antigone (Rachel McAdams) want her boy toy to do that he just wasn't ready for? And did anyone else get a Hunter S. Thompson vibe from the late night motorcycle run down the coast? If you aren't familiar, http://fuckyeahhst.tumblr.com/post/2717594410/the-edge-speech-hunter-s-thompson is a link to a passage from Thompson's Hell's Angels book. Please ignore the typos and, despite the fact that the site says it's a speech it was actually in the book.
Nope...had a few good movies though. It is the ones where is too serious that bug me. Kind of like this role but giving him a shot.
