Nah. Les stays at LSU thru the end. He and Cam are now coaching together, and will win at least 3 NCs together. Like Bo, he will make LSU his own, and complete his career here, retiring here. That's his M.O., to be like Bo, but in his own situation. He's resigned to that.
Of course not, because Mac can't recruit it. You put someone like Miles, or even your boy nikki, or a sleazeball like suburban in the drivers seat of that bus and look the hell out. I guarantee you that OU is a hell of a lot more worried about who gets the texas job when it comes open than the UT fans are. To sort of put it into perspective, it is a lot like LSU, a sleeping giant. It took a half wit dago to wake up the recruiting and look what it has morphed into. Of course Texas is far too big to "lock" down, but the right coach with the right attitude and there is enough talent in that state alone to make it Texas and everyone else in a very short period of time.
This statement strikes me as odd. You think Spurrier and Meyer both left Florida due to the fan base being spoiled? I'm guessing you're saying fan bases can lead to coaches leaving and the two you've mentioned were, perhaps, in a different train of thought?
well, it may be more than just speculation...tongue in cheek. more satirical than anything. http://www.rollbamaroll.com/2013/9/8/4708644/breaking-saban-headed-to-texas
We're not contending for NC'ships if we're not contending for SEC'ships... one leads to the other. One day people will notice the trend.
i sure didn't think such knowledgeable tiger fans would have to have things spelled out for them. all i can say is...not always. as i remember, not too long ago there was a certain sec team that did not even play in the seccg but played in the ncg. remember? not bs at all. normally, sure.
That SEC team is the exception to the rule, I promise you LSU will never be given that sort of gift. Get used to it.
This was one hire that had a few of my coaching friends scratching their heads. Kind of like the O hire at Ole Mrs. From Cut to O. This was part of the problem at ut, only part. There is enough blame to go around.
