I agree he could stack that program with pure TX talent, but he's only got another 5 yrs tops left in him before he strokes out... I still think it'd be worth it to be witness to the massive gump suicides.
as much as we don't like him at bama, i believe he'd be harder to beat in rather short order at texas. one good thing is he would not be there terribly long before calling it quits or he's passed his expiration date.
Yeh but we wouldn't have to worry about facing him every year unless we were in the playoffs. The road to the SECCG would be a lot easier.
You know it will have legs when Saban comes out and denies any rumors and says "I am not leaving Alabama". That's when you know he is really leaving, lmao.
Texas pretty much announced a commitment to mediocrity with their last extension of Mack Brown. Of course now they may not even achieve that.
i'm not very interested in the seccg anymore. if there's not a national championship i don't think most fans care much. it'll be tougher to get a nc if nick has access to all that texas talent plus the louisiana talent he's been poaching. and austin wouid be a whole lot more inviting for louisiana recruits than tuscaloosa. austins a fun city with a vibrant music scene and easy access to san antonio. no contest between the 2 cities. and that would probably entrench him as the best college coach ever if he were to bring 3 college programs from the lowest of lows to the pinnacle of college football. makes sense to me.
