Oregon did nothing more then any other college recruiting players. Some go as far as finding out what kind of girls they like, so they'll have plenty thrown their direction. Lyles is out to clear his name at Oregon's expense.
And Oregon is out to clear theirs at Lyles' expense. In fact, I would venture to say that Lyles' rep has been pretty well shot over the past few months, regardless of how this situation turns out. So, he doesn't have as much to lose as you seem to think.
