    I'm getting worried. They say it has wobbled back to the west again, so MC is going to be deeper in it. Just read that Billy Nungesser lost part of the roof of his house down in Plaquemines Parish. That's some serious wind for a Cat 1.

    I'm listening to it starting to whip up here now.

    I hate when these things come in at night. It always seems to make a bad situation feel worse.

    No doubt. Had Katrina hit at night, the death toll would have been infinitely higher.

    I thought she did hit at night. The water may have topped the levee during the morning after though. I'm not sure.

    All is good here so far. Not even any rain yet. Amazing the difference 100 miles can make. We're 40 miles north of Laffy.

    Thanks pal. They're expecting the heaviest winds here this afternoon. Some say 50+ mph. I'm skeptical but we definitely could see that. If we do I guess we'll lose power. I got my AC on to cool it down and it feels like a meat locker in here right now.
