Trendy fashion man bags are purses. We all know those when we see them. Just stop.

But soldiers, mountain men, explorers, and Indiana Fucking Jones all carried shoulder bags to haul their gear. They call them haversacks or musette bags in the military and mountain men called them possibles bags. Laptop bags are not man purses either, just a soft briefcase for businessmen.

    Not man purses.

    Definitely man purses . . .

Unless it was your son...no more us blood over there period. we know where they are....pulverize them from the air with relentless attacks...civilians will either die or get the fuck out of the way. Go ahead call me a goose stepper, if you want I don't care about world opinion I only care that we quit getting our guys killed for no damn reason at all.

Well, we are The Superpower and we can't abdicate international responsibilities and remain The Superpower. We must care about world opinion in order to keep most of the world on our side as we have done since WWII. We can't become isolationist, nor can we run around the planet being the worlds policeman. I think we have found a good balance.

There are good reasons to fight smart with SOF and surgical airpower. Killing 400,000 civilians will cause us more grief than we solve by killing perhaps 20,000 ISIS. It just recruits more jihadists. It's what they want! We are not going to give them what they want. It is impossible to solve this by airpower alone, ask any general. Someone must occupy the ground and take charge. It can't be us, we should have learned that by now. It must be the local people. And it won't be the local allies until we have degraded ISIS enough that they can be taken down by locals. The locals aren't as good as we are and still need training, support, and hands-on assistance.

We will starve ISIS, kill their leaders, raid their prisons, and deprive them of military support until they can no longer fight and then the local allies will go in occupy the territory. It will be Kurds In Kurdistan, Iraqis in Iraq and Syrians in Syria. We don't really care which Syrians, but we will support the ones fighting ISIS. When ISIS is gone, they will return to killing each other and whatever Russians stick around, "staying the course".

Well, it looks like the Russians are getting some blowback for their participation, as the news now says that plane was blown up. Incidentally I am about to board a plane in 3 hours from Lebanon to Athens. I will, let you know how the protests are going in syntagma square.

I guess you can't see much except pubs with Guinness. I like to get out into the countryside, but that takes more time than an urban tour.

Sometimes I have a chance to get out in the sticks. But I don't have a drivers license so that hinders me a bit. In some places where they don't give a shit, I rent a motorcycle. In December I rode all over Vietnam, around hue and da hang mostly. That was a different world.

I was somewhat serious when we discussed free trade. I do believe foreign Jobs are as important as American jobs. The backbreaking labor that you see in shit countries is incredible. I want poor Vietnamese to have a factory job in a sweatshop. It's an upgrade from standing knee deep rice paddie mud 11 hours a day pushing mud around. I don't see any reason to protect American jobs from these folks.

Stop! The contradiction in yourself began here, I can't even read the rest of your, how shall I say.....to quote the great tiger fan philosopher Shane "blah blah side stepping goose something" bullshit post, it's all you do, you are so full of fucking shit.........you just referenced him and then you aren't....no surprises.

I've been behind politicians before and down the road they make some decision or policy that I disagree with, I've never seen someone so hard line devoted to a politician as you are, it's comical. Carry on.

Boy . . . you're a fucking American. You have to get past this New York glitterati phase. You will not live your whole life in the concrete jungle. You are already traveling to gain enlightenment, Grasshoppa. This is proper. You got to have a license. But you got to have a vehicle. I mean, goddamn. You have to roam the backroads to really see America, much less the rest of the world. Women expect you to have a car, a house, some money and some style. You will get higher-quality skirt, don't fuck this up. Get a Maserati. You can park it at my place when you are not using it.

Shades of gray, damn it. Stop thinking in monochrome. There is a proper balance point to be found here. We can have our cake and eat it too in the grayscale world.
