Yeah, how could I forget Brandon Taylor. Think about our 2 losses from last year. Auburn. We couldn't catch Cam on the edge, Montgomery would have helped a whole hell of alot with that. And against Arkansas, Brandon Taylor over Karnell Hatcher, enough said.

Big Sam & B-Taylor coming back is a blessing to Chavis and this LSU D in general. I am looking to T-Rex to cause all sorts of mayhem coming off the corner blitz packages. I want to see us force some turnovers.

What are your thoughts on our DT rotation?

I think it's crucial considering Brockers, and Downs really haven't "broken out" yet. We may have the best ends in the SEC. Ken Adams is no punk either. The DT position and it's rotation is going to be something to watch considering Oregon likes to run a fast pace so defenses they face cannot rotate. Who is going to step up? Brockers, Downs? Freak? Going to be interesting, but LSU has pretty much been known over the past 15 years as DTU.

For the traditional triple option to be effective, you have to have an outstanding fullback. Because if the dive isn't a threat on every single down, speed can take the other two options away. It's why the wishbone went away when it did. Defenses got quicker and exceptional fullbacks have always been rare. Especially today when fullbacks rarely carry the ball and have evolved into quick guards who line up in the backfield and block on every play.

Does Oregon have an exceptional fullback? Can one of their outstanding tailbacks line up at fullback and run the dive 30 time a game?

I am extremely anxious to watch Brock & Downs, even more so to see what Freak is going to bring. I have heard that Freak has done wonders for our defense off the field in terms of the attitude and confidence he is bringing to our locker room.

oregons triple option is run from the shotgun where they try to beat you on the edges. so as long as we play like disciplined our speed should suffice.

lol id like to see one try... while they have some speed, their not big enough to take the abuse of our defense too many times.

Ok, no disrespect, but that is laughable. Oregon doesn't have the speed to hit to corner? Oregon has the fastest RB corps in college football.

Fastest 40 times: (All times from Spring track, other than Thomas and Sumler which are from nfldraftscout.com)

    LMJ- 4.24
    Barner- 4.29
    Seastrunk- 4.31
    Thomas- 4.29
Sumler- 4.24 (listed as a WR, but as with all fast wide-outs in Oregon's system, he'll carry the ball.)

    Oregon is Tracktown USA.

Speed doesn't cure everything, and it doesn't mean Oregon will win because of it. But saying they don't have speed....?

I posted this earlier, but it fits here almost to a tee.
