I've heard the comments about LSU being an economic issue for the Sugar, but tend to disagree. I'd wager that hotels will fill up and so will bars and merchants even moreso if the Tigers go. A lot of people are making the assumption on radio shows that all Tiger fans are going to drive up from Baton Rouge, and then leave that night. Tiger fans are spread all over the place and enough will travel ( if they can get tickets ) to fill up hotels is my guess. Our last Sugar appearance wasn't a NC game so I dont think using those figures as a New Orleans revenue lift is appropriate. Lets be realistic - is USC really going to travel well? Doubtful - hell they can't even put together a respectable crowd and tailgating session at home games.
