actually it was Tommie Banks on the cover. It was when he scored his Touchdown off the triple option to the fullback up the middle.
Faulk got a photo on the cover, and Banks got a two page spread stretched out over the endzone.... But it was Kevvie Kev that got the Covah...

South, The Chrissy incident was hilarious!! He was trying to call out Everett (about being gay) and got his butt whipped. That's why I can't take listening to Rome rag on people. He ragged on Spurrier all the time because Spurrier wouldn't come on his show. Everytime he tries to act like mister cool tough guy I have flashbacks of him getting punked by Chris Everett. It was Faulk on the cover like others have said. There was a print shop (Next to Domino's Pizza) outside the Superdome that had that SI Faulk cover in full color blown up to 12x6 feet in their window, it was there for years. You can't beat the #1 ranked team in the land then lose the very next week at home to a bad Ole Piss team with an unknown QB and still command respect. I know that was a HUGE win for LSU fans and the team but you have to capitalize on a win like that, when you didn't you lost respect for the upset. LSU will garner respect again, you were consistently bad for a decade, the respect won't come back overnight. I still think you will go undefeated so if that happens the respect will be there. It also hurts that you're in the SEC, the SEC is down right now and taking a beating. Look at Florida, we dominated for a decade and now we are in the doghouse, we aren't getting respect from the national media either. Look how fast we fell. :dis:
