Love this name. Look up above at my detailed prospecting about coaches on page 2. Problem is the guy has a $1.8M buyout at Marquette, and folks peg him at really looking to get back to TX where he has stronger roots. Nevertheless, in some coaching analysis I did this year (but didn't post, b/c at the time I was really looking to defend Trent), Buzz $ for wins is one of the most productive coaches in all of America. A lot of what he brings I like, and I actually think he would be a home run hire. Problem is LSU has got to go to bat with the $$s, and even then I'm not sure if Buzz wants the change in scenery. That said, I would still prioritize him over someone like Pastner, or even Marshall, if we can get him to talk to us.
I guess recruiting wasn't Trent Johnson's strength... Mike Scarborough @ScarboroughMike Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Revisionist history going on in Ft. Worth. Trent Johnson wasn't a fit because he likely couldn't convince Mike the Tiger to sign with #LSU.
LOL, I can't believe this is still up. Maybe the guy who posted has a must-see documentary on Nazi bankers we'd be interested in.
For a while Buzz's wiki redirected to the LSU basketball page. They caught that pretty quick. Buzz is still listed as being hired on 4/10 on the LSU page.
I would be happy with either Buzz Williams or the Zen Master. After this buildup, anyone else will seem like a real downer.
