Cold weather reduces the chances of overheating and cramping. I'm guessing the players will love it. It'll be in the upper 30s by kickoff, which is not bad. These players all wear gloves, so I think the perception of "frozen fingers" is not as bad in reality as it is in the minds of fans that don't like cold weather. When I lived in Colorado, I would often shovel the snow off of my driveway, sidewalk, and walkways while wearing shorts...to me it was like outdoor air conditiong (Denver is really dry, though, so it didn't chill you to the bone).
Also, keep in mind that official temperatures are recorded in the shade, so it'll probably warmer on the field in sunlight.
Heard! BUT, my SELA ass does not like playing in that weather. Could be that I imputed that thought to some of the fellas on the team. Anyway, the cold seems to have had some impact in part of the game for us.
Hope our young line learns from this. Certainly we will see it again until we prove we can deal with it.
