I had a chemistry set that had a ton of toxic and reactive chemicals that are probably banned as toys today. It got boring pretty fast. It had a neat microscope, which I used on a lot of things. It had a cool little plastic rocket that you could load with baking soda and vinegar. When you turned it over and set it down the reaction would build up and then shoot the rocket off its stand about 20 feet in the air . . . and spray vinegar in your eyes if you stood too close.

Wow, I had forgotten about the water rocket. Put some water in it and attach the pump and pump some air into it. I had one and it was one of my favorite toys. Would shoot pretty high

I thought that too, but they were actually a symbol of royalty with the egyptians. They had no function, just a symbol.
