Fulmer looks like a racist pig. But that doesn't make him a bad coach? I wouldn't think so.

Well, he does suck. So I don't know where I'm going with this.

Here is my response to Doyle's article. If I got a little long winded I apologize, but my dander was up.

    Dr. Doyle:
There was so much wrong with your article that it is hard for me to respond short of a 1,000 word critique. Sports journalism is at its best inciteful, thought-provoking, respectful of its readers and its subject, and honest. Your article missed the mark on all points. So much so that it relinquishes all claim to the distinguised title of journalism. I have read smack talk on sports forums from alcohol-saturated fans that were more intelligent.

First, a true sports journalist does not resort to name-calling. Such "journalism" says a great deal more about its author than it does its subject.

Secondly, it was inaccurate. Before you write about a person I suggest you make at least a cursory effort to learn something about that person. Anyone who knows Les Miles even a little knows he bears no relation to the person you described so recklessly. Common sense should have told you that anyone who has the kind of success in his chosen field as Coach Miles has enjoyed would never have been able to accomplish what he has if he had possessed the traits you ascribed to him. Name-calling is juvenile and is the last resort of those who have nothing of value to say.

Thirdly, Coach Miles had agreed to a multi-year extention as head coach at LSU and never spoke with Michigan either personally or through his agent about the Michigan job. LSU AD Skip Bertman gave Michigan permission to speak with Miles and Miles had decided to speak with Michigan about the job. But it never happened.

Fourthly, what makes you think Coach Miles had any "control" over what the press prints? As your article proves, the press will write what it wants to write. I strongly suspect one of Miles close friends and a key booster at Michigan leaked the story that Miles would be Michigan's new head coach. Once the press got hold to it Miles had no control over the story.

You seem to base your article on gut feelings and personal biases rather than on confirmed facts. Such reporting can be called many things, sir, but journalism is not one of them.

He really does. Kinda reminds me of Brian Denehy's character in 'Mississippi Burning.'

Since someone brought up Tubby, does anyone have that picture of him where he's talking to some reporter after a game and his ears are really huge? If you do, please post it. I absolutely love that pic.

    Let's recap:

The SEC currently employs a total moron, a racist pig and an elephant as head coaches. We also have a nut, a habitual liar, a crybaby and a quitter as well.

No wonder the SEC doesn't know didly squat about football.

you got to be kidding right? Nick Saban the midget is more intimidating than Miles? Miles may possibly look like a rednck with the way he wears his hat, but a dweeb? WTF man. Perhaps he'll look a little more intimidating to you after monday night.

I agree with most of what you guys are saying regarding the article but I also do believe that JT is the better of the 2 coaches. The article is garbage meant to get a rise out of LSU fans and touching on just one small point of the game which is coaching.

I don't agree with the article I would like to here what you guys have to say about this... If this article had been written about JT and not LM I would bet 90% of you would agree with it and have no problem with what was said. No offense but there are some huge flaming homers on this board like Islstl and something like crist11. Just funny because some of you try and play the disrespect card so bad but most of the media is saying your going to run away with it. There is one poster, JohnLSU, that has been far and away the most objective member of your board and was always a pleasure to debate with.

I wish LSU bad luck and no injuries in Monday nights game. Go Bucks!!!
