Sadly yes !!!. No that is not me but I can relate that is pretty much what I do now. No longer in the "Band" if you will so I sit on my yamahas each night and play tunes. It isn't. Geddy and Alex were childhood friends, and I think Neal was working in his dad's auto shop or something like that when they put the call out for a new drummer. They were ready to go on their first tour, but the original drummer (Rutsey?) was diagnosed with diabetes, and his doctor recommended he not go on the road. I think that's how the story went in the documentary.
