Only because we could have used his production last year when shooting, for example, an abysmal 35.9% from the field against UAB. Ross Neltner logged 10 minutes in that game and scored a grand total of 0 points. We were extremely short on depth last year and I refuse to believe that he couldn't have helped that out in some way.
well it would still be nice to have kept neltner around i say.....but this team will be pretty good this year....and there so young.
I can recall early in the Stromile/Jabarri year (99?) that they were thumping the exhibitions teams and teams like Grambling the same way they are doing it this year. You usually win these early games, but most years it is by 8-20 points. I think this is a very good sign.
Alright, every year I am truely disappointed when football season ends. I go through withdrawals something serious for the first few months. Baseball helps, but it's not enough. This year I will become an expert on LSU basketball. I'll try anything once. I'll even promise to try and make a few games. Let's Geaux Tigers! Don't give me a hard time if I ask a stupid question along the way. I've never played an organized game of basketball in my life. :hihi:
Looked good again against an inferior opponent. The WVU game will tell us just how good (and deep) we are. They just took the 2nd best team in the country down to the wire. Gransberry has officially left the team though.
I tried to tell you guys Tyrus would be a beast...but you all said if he were so good, he would have played last year... He was injured for 10 or so games last year, so they didn't want to waste a year, when he would have only played a limited role... This team has more depth than any of our teams we have ever had... This is a Sweet 16 team, if we keep playing with the chemistry we have so far this season... I love Tack to death, but having a pass 1st PG makes such a world of difference
i dont know how y'all can tell that there is team chemistry. you cant tell til they play someone that makes things tough. this sat. will tell us if this inexperienced group is special in how they handle their first taste of adversity. i expect them to have serious problems--can they defend the perimeter?, can they get the ball to davis and thomas? the real key will be how quick and how much can they learn? after watching three games, i feel much better about lazare, thomas and tmitch than before the season. should be fun!:geauxtige
i dont remember the #s in the ncaa rules or lsu's recent signings #s, but there is a limit to the # of players you can sign over a rolling period of time. so gransberry's leaving MAY hurt for 2 yrs.
Congratulations to Coach Brady for bringing together a very talented team with all of this chemistry. Well done. Indeed!
