    That's what I thought at first. But my fuzzy memory led me to believe that the Warthog's landing gears were closer to the ground. After looking at some other pictures, I agree. It's a A-10.

    My favorite I have flown, flew it 10 years with 47th Fighter Squadron at Barksdale. A-10.

    The Houston Chronicle mentioned him in a list of potential candidates for the UH job.

    NO WAY!!! USAFR........we flew circles around any and all AD units that flew A-10's.

    Many years ago when I was still on active duty I got to see them up close and personal when they were TDY to Peterson AFB. I followed that up with a buddy getting me VIP access to see them do their thing relatively close down range at Ft. Carson. Extremely impressive.

    Alright, then next year O will just beat them by 7-14 instead of by 14-28.

    Spent uranium rounds as I remember. A-10 was a gatling gun with an airplain wrapped around it.

    One of my favorite parts of The Hunt for the Red October is when the A-10s flown by the AFR sent a message to the Russian surface fleet. When the buzzed them and lit off all those flares.
